How can reach the patients with vertigo the otoneurological department?

Abstract

In Hungarian expertise the patients with vertigo and sensorineural hearing loss and tinnitus are examined and treated in special outpatient departments of hospitals. Authors are analyzing the data of their patients, which were examined in the last two years in their otoneurological outpatient department. Most of the patients reach the outpatient department from general otolaryngological or neurological departments. Few of them sent to the special department by family doctors, or by other clinics of the university. 20 % of patients underwent of the chronic care of the Semmelweis University Otoneurological Outpatient Department. They have more than 1000 patients in this period.
Authors analyzed the main complaints and diagnoses of their patients. In their opinion the big number of patients gives a great experience in diagnostic and treating procedure of dizzy patients.
